If you’re looking for a Christmas break then look no further.  There’s a whole range of things to get you in the festive mood;

Visiting Santa is a must and what better way than by steam.

The South Devon Railway offer a wonderful trip, departing from Buckfastleigh, with presents for all the children (even the under ones) and mulled wine (or a non-alcoholic alternative) and mince pies for the grown-ups. Light refreshments are available from the buffet on the train.

Dartmouth Railway & Riverboat Company  are calling all children (young and old!),  help to drive away Scrooge and welcome Father Christmas and his helpers on the Santa Express. Three trains a day on each of the 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd & 24th December. Arrive at Paignton where log fires will be burning strongly. Board the train to Kingswear and return. During your journey a festive mince pie and a glass of mulled wine can be enjoyed (by the adults!). Children will receive a visit from Santa at their seat – make sure they chase off Scrooge and they will receive a gift!

All Aboard! The Polar Express comes to life this festive season as the Dartmoor Railway rolls out of Okehampton Station bound for the “North Pole!” Come early and climb aboard with your family to leisurely enjoy our festively-decorated train! And, bring your camera! What better place than The Polar Express™ to snap that favourite family photo!
