South West Lakes Trust manages, provides and promotes public access, recreation, and conservation on and around inland waters in the South West of England.  The Trust offers 27 fisheries across Cornwall, Devon and West Somerset. Quality fishing in the most beautiful of surroundings.

Kennick, Bovey Tracey, Devon

This beautiful premier Dartmoor water is frequently stocked with rainbow trout up to 8lb, with the occasional bigger fish. There is a resident head of wild brown trout (all brown trout must be released if caught). Access is restricted to angers only. Fly fishing only. ‘Catch and release’ option available (barbless hooks must be used).
There are boats for hire, but booking is essential to avoid disappointment. The wheelyboat for disabled anglers should be booked 48 hours in advance.The local fishing club, Kennick Fly Fishers Association, organises competitions, beginners days and social events based at the fishery.

Regular fly fishing taster days and tuition days, in conjunction with the Environment Agency, are held throughout the season. Whilst Kennick is restricted to anglers only, members of the public are welcome to walk around the two adjoining reservoirs of Tottiford and Trenchford where there are car parks and picnic areas, as well as the many woodland walks around the reservoirs.

This reservoir on Dartmoor offers excellent pike fishing with fish to 30lb. Methods that can be used – spinners, plug, fly, dead sea fish (no livebaiting).
