You’ll find a wealth of courses on our doorstep. The closest Stover is only a few hundred yards from the lodge. The course is set in 200 acres of parkland with some of the prettiest golf holes in Devon. Extensive, mature woodlands and water, feature on a number of holes and the course offers an excellent challenge for all golfing ability.
Teignmouth Golf Club is laid out on the high tableland of Little Haldon, over 800 feet above sea level. From the fairways of the outgoing half looking down on Teignmouth itself and over the estuary of the Teign to the Devon shore as far as Berry Head. From the inward holes a view of the estuary of the Exe, and on a clear day the eastward coastline as far as Portland Bill. To the west is Dartmoor, rising in the far distance into the grey bastions of Hay Tor, Saddle Tor and Rippon Tor. To the north lies the hinterland of Devon and the Blackdown Hills.
Bovey Castle Golf Course is a challenging and beautiful 18-hole championship course, designed in 1926 by J F Abercromby. When opened in 1930, it quickly gained national acclaim for its reputation as one of the most enjoyable places to play golf. Designed to rival its sister courses at Gleneagles and Turnberry presenting the pure challenge of golf to professional and amateur alike. Bovey Castle also offers a fully-equipped club house, driving range, golf academy and bistro for pre and post match meals and snacks.
Dawlish Warren Golf Club is a small piece of Golfing Heaven situated on a spit of land in the mouth of the Exe estuary, a course that will provide a welcoming challenge to golfers of all abilities, with 18 of the finest greens in the South West and breathtaking views.
Bovey Tracey Golf Course & Driving Range situated in a beautiful area on the edge of Dartmoor near Bovey Tracey and offering a challenging 9 hole course. Facilities include a 9 hole golf course, an indoor driving range, a pitch ‘n’ putt approach course, a pro-shop and a coffee shop serving light refreshments.
