My name is Rose, married to Adrian, and have two young children, Amy-Beth & William all of whom help me run Magnolia Lodge to one degree or another.
We bought Stover Park Farm with its 10 acres in February 2010. As a child I was brought up on a North Devon farm so keen for my children to have the freedom to enjoy the outdoor life as I did when I was a child.
During April 2012 we embarked on the conversion of a property, next to our house, which we’ve aptly named “Magnolia Lodge” as it sits in the shadow of two beautiful Magnolia Trees. We wanted to create a space based on the “best bits” of our many family holiday experiences. The internal spec is contemporary and the interior decor is in restful, neutral tones. The modern wood burner adds warmth and cosiness during winter short breaks and the BBQ is just what’s needed for those great British summers! As a back up we’ve installed a fantastic range cooker – just in case it rains…… But if you don’t want to cook then don’t worry, Devon not only produces great food but we can cook it too and there are plenty of great places to eat out.
We’re situated just 3 minutes from the A38 making us really easy to get to. Our location provides the perfect base to visit South Devon’s beautiful beaches and Dartmoor. Cornwall is only 45 minutes away over the Tamar Bridge.
